About the Bulova 63B018 Watch
The Bulova 63b018 Accutron men’s watch is a popular watch. The 63B018 watch is made from stainless steel making it very durable. The dial is a cool looking Clou de Paris patterned Black and the hands are luminous. As any good watch should have, the automatic movement is Swiss Valgranes calibre ETA A07.211.
The back case is a screwed one with sapphire crystal. The Bulova 63b018 is water resistant down to 50 meters. The case dimensions is 44mm and the thickness of the case is 14mm.
Between 1960 and 1977, Bulova’s Accutron such as the 63b018 was the most advanced wristwatch available. Although Elgin and Hamilton had released the first electric wristwatch in 1952, the Accutron was undoubtedly a game-changer. Max Hetzel, who designed the watch, was followed by William Bennett who further refined the design. Its most innovative feature was the usage of a tiny metal tuning fork driven by a one-transistor electronic circuit designed by Raytheon.
